Overview:
Great Basin National Park has completed the artwork and text for their new Junior Ranger Book. Great Basin National Park IIC Diversity Project Internship Winter/Spring 2022. We are looking for a talented IIC Intern to create an accessible digital version of our new Junior Ranger Book for our website. The publication needs a final layout and must be formatted for 508 compliance. Completing a thematic design for the accompanying Junior Ranger patch and Junior Ranger Badge is included in this project. Required to pay $288.00/month housing rental cost. Payment of rent must be made to the Administrative Officer, on the 1st business day of each month.
Responsibilities:
- Create an accessible digital version of our nearly complete new Junior Ranger Book.
- Will need to collaborate with the Park’s project supervisor to format completed text and provide a layout for text and artwork on each of 20 pages.
- Adapt existing design for the GRBA Astronomy patch for a Junior Ranger badge and Junior Ranger Patch. Design patch and badge with focus on the common theme of Junior Ranger Book, to award Junior Rangers for the completion of digital and/or hard copy Junior Ranger books.
Qualifications:
- Must have proven skill with and access to Adobe Creative Design Suite. Access will be awarded onsite at GRBA.
- Must have training or take provided training for 508 compliance for Federal Government publications
- Creative self-starter with good time-management skills.
- Estimated hours for completion: 160 hours (4-weeks).
